  3. ICOPS 2011 • Closed out in Dec 2011 • 20% surplus to NPSS • Lessons learned from Chair • Strong social program a big factor in overall success of ICOPS • WIE enhances IEEE image and message; spent far more that $2500 NPSS allocation • Increase student best paper awards to $2000

Upcoming ICOPS • ICOPS 2012 progressing well • Chair: Michael Kong • 8 – 12 July 2011, International Conference Center, Edinburgh, UK • 806 abstracts • Plasma Medicine and Health Care mini-course offered • Plenary speakers from Australia, Canada, Russia, USA, UK • Gennady Mesyats to receive IEEE Marie Sklodowska-Curie Award (from Peter Staecker, IEEE President-Elect) • Andrew Ng to receive the PSAC Award • Boaz Rubenstein to receive Outstanding Student Award • Funds requested for Women in Engineering reception • $2500 for ICOPS

  6. MCM- PSAC Master Service Agreement • Outgrowth of “free sample” provided by NPSS • Results encouraging from year-to-year MCM support for ICOPS 2009 – 2011 • One-year agreements also in place for 2013, 2014 • Negotiations underway for over a year, fully vetted by PSAC ExCom • Designates MCM as Preferred Event Manager for PSAC • Provides various sets of services at prenegotiated rates • Preserves ICOPS Chair’s right to opt out (not to be done lightly) • Effective now through end of 2016 (ICOPS 2012 excluded)
