Bell Work How To • Always LABEL you bell workwith the date. • You may use the same page for several of your bell works. • ALWAYS use at least THREE complete sentences to answer the question. • Save your bell work for bell work check in’s. • If you miss class, you may go onto Mrs V’s website to get the missed bell work question. It is YOUR responsibility to get the bell work completed.

  3. Bell Work #12 In your opinion, how are classic music and rock and roll music alike? Use three complete sentences to SUPPORT that they are alike.

  4. Planner • Homework: Instruments of the orchestra research.

  5. Today I will learn: • I will learn about the instruments of the orchestra.

  6. Instruments of the Orchestra Instructions • This project is worth 45 points. • You will be given an instruction sheet and a rubric to complete the project. • You will need to use credible sources– MAKE SURE TO SITE YOUR SOURCES!

  7. Objectives • Create a PowerPoint and a three minute presentation about an instrument(s) of the orchestra. • Research your instrument(s) • Each person will be expected to speak during the presentation. • Create a power point presentation.

  8. Topics to cover • You will create one slide per topic: • Name of the instrument & group members • What does it look like? • Include at least one picture. • Who invented it and how is it made? • How is the instrument played? • Include a video showing how it is played– this will also show us what it sounds like. • Interesting facts/ historical information • Sources page

  9. Requirements • You should have a minimum of 6 slides. • You should save your presentation on your H drive. • Extra credit: Include fun facts in your presentation! • Use your rubric to make sure you have all of the required elements.

  10. Details • If you are given more than one instrument, you need to present on EACH instrument– however, multiple instruments can fit on to one slide. • If you are given percussion, you must present on two tuned instruments and two un-tuned instruments.

  11. Exit: 3-2-1 • Use complete sentences • 1. Write down three things you found interesting about today’s lesson. • 2. Write down two things you learned. • 3. Write down one question you still have about today’s topic.
