    1. Balance- principle of design A balanced composition or design is one where the visual weights of all the elements are equally distributed.

    2. Symmetrical Balance Symmetrical balance occurs when visual elements are mirrored from side to side or top to bottom. When symmetry occurs with similar, but not identical, forms it is called approximate or formal symmetry.
