  10. Conceptual Data Model • Conceptual data model  a high-level representation of business information and its sources and endpoints and the events that occur in all steps in between • includes an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) • created without consideration of database concepts

Logical Data Model • Logical data model The logical design of a database involves taking the business information discovered in a CDM and translating it into an empirical layout of the data, usually in a relational style. • Includes entities/tables, attributes / columns /fields and relationships. • Uses business names for attributes. • Is independent of technology (platform, DBMS). • Is normalized to 4th normal form

  13. Physical Data Model • Physical Data Model It describes an absolute design of the database implementation. A data architect, or sometimes a database administrator, completes this stage. • Includes tables, columns, keys, data types, validation rules, database triggers, stored procedures, domains, and access constraints.

  14. Physical Data Model • Uses abbreviated column names limited by the database management system (DBMS) • Includes primary keys and indices for fast data access. • May be de-normalized to meet performance requirements

  15. Data Administration (DA) • Tujuan  meningkatkan pemahaman dan manajemen data. • Bertanggung jawab mengembangkan dan memelihara standar manajemen data dan prosedur, &membuat panduan dan metode untuk berbagi-pakai data. • Data Administrator berhak me-review dan menyetujui desain model data.
