  13. Singapore Schools Sports Team Selection Criteria • The SSST representatives for MAG & WAG will be selected based on the resultsof the National Inter-School Artistic Gymnastics Championships 2014. • To be eligible for selection gymnasts have to compete in the Optional Event at the National Inter-School Artistic Gymnastics Championships 2014. • For MAG, gymnasts have to compete in the 6 MAG apparatus – Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars and Horizontal Bars. • For WAG, gymnasts have to compete in the 4 WAG apparatus – Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and Floor Exercise. • Where necessary, a secondary selection trial may be conducted for shortlisted gymnasts after the Championships. • 5 MAG & 5 WAG gymnasts will be selected to represent SSST.

Gymnastics Competitions and Cancelled Events 7.1 For Team Competition, there must be a minimum of three (3) registered teams from three (3) different schools before a team championship can be organised. 7.2 For All-Around Competition, there must be a minimum of three (3) registered individuals from three (3) different schools competing in all required apparatus of the Division Event before the All-Around title can be recognised. 7.3 For Individual Apparatus Competition, there must be a minimum of three (3) registered individuals from three (3) different schools competing in the relevant apparatus of the Division Event before the Individual Apparatus title can be recognised.

  16. Withdrawal and Walk-over 9.1 Any withdrawal or walk-over is considered contrary to the spirit of the game. 9.2 Schools participating in the championship should not withdraw or give a walk-over. 9.3 For each withdrawal or walk-over, a written explanation duly endorsed by the Principal shall be submitted to the Convenor and the Game Advisor within two (2) working days. 9.4 When competing for top 4 placing, any walk-over will disqualify the team from being placed. • All results will be null and void.

  17. Clarification and Inquiry of Score 11.1 Any clarification on points of laws/rules and the difficulty score must be lodged immediately after the publication of the score, or at the very latest before the end of the exercise of the next gymnast, by the teacher-in-charge to the D1 judge in a professional and friendly manner. The decision taken by the D-Jury will be final, and the Meet Director and Gymnastics Advisor shall be informed of such clarification. 11.2 Only inquiries for difficulty scores are allowed provided the verbal inquiry is made in accordance to para.11.1. Inquiries for all other scores (Execution, Artistry) are not allowed. 11.3 Late verbal inquiries will be rejected. An inquiry is allowed only for the school’s own gymnast.

  18. External instructors are not allowed to approach the game officials to query their decisions. Only teachers-in-charge are allowed to approach game officials to seek clarifications. Failure to comply with this rule may lead to a deduction of 0.5 point from the gymnast’s final score or total team score, and action taken against the coach. • Teachers-in-charge are not allowed to interfere with the final decision taken by the D1 Judge Coordinator on points of laws/rules after clarification has been sought. If such interference results in disruption of any competition/event, a report shall be made by the Convenor and the matter brought to the attention of the Championship Organising Committee for appropriate action.

  19. Clarification for Vault at the NSG For Primary and Secondary MAG Optional, and Secondary WAG FIG competitions: • Each gymnast is allowed two vaults (2 similar or 2 different vaults). The better vault counts for Team score and Individual All-Around score. As for the Individual Apparatus Competition, the average of 2 vaults will be calculated. Invalid vaults will be as stipulated in the code of points 2013. For Primary and Secondary WAG Level and Stages competitions: • Each gymnast performs two vaults as spelt out in the manuals. The average of 2 vaults will be calculated. Invalid vaults will be as stipulated in the code of points 2013.

  20. Clarification for Primary C Div (Novice) Mushroom at the NSG • Gymnast may choose to begin with an additional double leg circle with no additional value points, although exexecution deductions will still apply for this element.
