  2. What is the point of accessing medical records online? You can use a computer to easily access your medical files. This gives you complete control over what you need to know about your current medical status and any prescriptions you have taken recently or in the past. This also gives your doctor the advantage of knowing quickly what medicines your on currently. The medical card will easily keep your medical information with you at all times.   3. How would this benefit you? Since current medical records are old, deteriorating and possibly falling apart by the seams, online records would not deteriorate like a paper records. Your records will be easily accessed, and able to be used immediately. It is just a slide of a card and your records will available to you instantly. Also you would not have to keep up with your old medical documents since they could be hard to read and unorganized.   4. Is it safe? Even though there are many hackers on the internet, the possibility of your information being stolen is not very high. The information will have a username/ password login with a pin number to access it.   5. Will you be forced to use this service? This service is not a mandatory service. There is no law going to be implemented for this because of privacy of our society. The government has nothing to do with your records they will not be accessing them therefore they can not currently forcefully convert the whole medical record system.   6. Will this information be seen by anyone other than your doctor? The information online will only be viewable by the personnel of the hospital and of course your self. No other person or company may view your records without the permission of yourself.
