  1. Search for exotic hadrons with the PANDA detector Jan Kisiel Institute of Physics, University of Silesia Katowice, Poland (kisielj@us.edu.pl) Polish-German Meeting, Warszawa, 24.11.2003

  2. Exotic hadrons: • Glueballs made entirely out of glue • Hybrids pairs with an excited gluon • Molecules pairs Polish-German Meeting, Warszawa, 24.11.2003

  5. Search for glueballs Glueball mass spectrum (LQCD) • glueballs bound gluon states • quantum numbers: • →exotic, JPC=2+-,1-+,0--,… • →„normal”, mixing with qq states • production cross section ~ μb • f0(1500) – candidate • →CB@LEAR • →mixed with scalar qq states Polish-German Meeting, Warszawa, 24.11.2003

  6. Crystal Barrel • f0(1500) data: • high statistics, full solid • angle, low threshold • (~20 MeV) in EM • calorimeter, kaons • identification • study of different • decay channels • (branching ratios) • partial wave analysis • (coupled channel • analysis) Polish-German Meeting, Warszawa, 24.11.2003

  7. Search for charmed hybrids -potential of excited gluon flux in addition to -potential for one-gluon exchange may lead to bound states. • LQCD predictions for charmed hybrids: • Mass: lowest state 4.2- 4.5GeV/c2 • Quantum numbers: ground state JPC=1-+ (exotic), but many allowed • Width: 5- 50MeV (narrow states) Polish-German Meeting, Warszawa, 24.11.2003

  8. Schematic view of PANDA detector on High Energy Storage Ring (HESR) Polish-German Meeting, Warszawa, 24.11.2003
