Spring Important Dates: • March 15: Principals CRT training • March 17: Secondary schools Pre-prints due (Course & Section) • March 25: Student Logs sent to schools • April 11-15: Schools receive paper-based testing materials • April 15: Student rosters verified (nothing to send in but just a suggested date for having students, accommodations, etc entered) • Current-May CBT Practice Session available • Apr 25- May 27: Core CRT Testing window

  3. **Students listed here are preloaded into the Testing System. These forms do not need to be returned to the district.

Sequenced Checklist for CBT Administration • Prior testing • Set up testing schedule • Add or modify staff/student accounts, participation status, & accommodation • Print tickets and give to teachers • Day of testing • Set up student and proctor computers • Open Proctor Test Workstation • Choose test • Write TEST ACCESS CODE on board • Start test (choose Test Section & click GO) • Teacher READS Teacher prompt from Test Administration Manual (TAM) • End section • Print Scoring Submission receipt (slide 28) • Log out • Return to Jami-Jon via district mail

  5. The Administrative, Proctor, and Student Workstations

  6. Use “Proctor a Training Test” to proctor practice tests Use “Go to Training DAS Site” to set up practice tests Use “Proctor a Live Test” to proctor live tests Use “Go to Live DAS Site” to set up live tests http://utah.measuredprogress.org

  7. Data Administration System –DAS • Requires a login & password • Manage student and administrator/proctor accounts • Create student login tickets for Testing Sections • Monitor test progress • Generate reports

  9. Assign Proctor (if you want someone with ONLY proctor rites) • Log into the MP website &click “Go to Training DAS Site” • Type USERNAME & PASSWORD • Click “Manage”& then “Staff Accounts” • Choose“School”from the drop down

Enter Administrator or proctor name, user name (CANNOT CHANGE THIS), password (6 letters/numbers), email (use yours) • Click “Tests” button & choose the tests they can proctor • Click “Groups”& choose the groups they can proctor • Select the “Role” as Administrator or Proctor from the drop down arrow

  11. Edit Administrator or Proctor • Click “Edit” (it will change to Update/Cancel) • You can change any info here except the username • When you are done click “Update” to your left

  12. Manage Student Data • Select “Manage” • then “Student List” • Select “Grade” on the right • To Filter click icon • To add select “Add Student” Reporting Groups

Add New Student/Test/Accommodations • Click Add Student, add information, click “Validate Student.” • Assign Testing Session, Test Name, Reporting group, Participation Status &Accom. for student in each subject. • Click “ADD STUDENT & TEST”, then “CLOSE” If can’t add, email Jami-Jon: name, gender, LEA ID, & DOB.

  14. Adjust Student’s Participation • Click “View” next to student’s name & then “Edit” by Testing Session enter changes • Click “Update” and at the bottom of the page

  15. Manage Groups • Click “Manage” and then “Reporting Groups.” • To add group, edit alternate name, move students, or print tickets

  16. Alternative name would be: • Ms. Jones 3 period Science • 9+2 • CACTUS ID + PERIOD • Period • Elementary: always 01 • Secondary: period #

  17. Highlight student name • Click << or >> to move student across groups • Exit out by hitting red x in top right corner

  18. Monitor Test Progress page • On the Navigation Bar, click on “Reporting” then “Monitor Test Progress”. • Select a “School”, “Test Session”, and “Test” in the drop down. • CHOOSE the appropriate test.

  19. Choose “Group” from drop-down list • Click Progress or Receipt (explanation on next slide) • Click report type PDF, Excel, etc. • Click “Red Ticket” (example on slide 19)

  22. Proctor Test Workstation-PTW • CAN USE YOUR ADMINISTRATOR’s LOGIN on Proctor Test Workstation  • Web application for administering tests • Start, pause, and end test sections • Monitor student progress

  23. Proctor Workstation: Starting Test 1. Go to http://utah.measuredprogress.org2. Or go top right on DAS for PTW 2. Type in your assigned “User Name” and selected “Password” then click, “Login”

  24. 3. Choose test from “Test Available for Starting a New Session”. 4. Note “Test Access Code.”Write the code on the board.

  25. Proctor/Teacher • Teacher: From TAM (Teacher Administration Manual), read directions aloud. When finished, proctor OR teacher (if teacher is proctor) choose section (or all sections) and click “Go” button. All sections Teacher or Proctor: Monitor student progress on the right side of the Proctor. screen.

  26. Proctor/Teacher Use “Pause Test” button in case of emergency i.e., fire drill. There is a maximum of 20 min. window from the time you hit “Pause Test” button until section is closed. Open new section to finish test, if this happens.

  27. Proctor/Teacher When students have completed Section 1, click next section in the test Navigation Window, then click “Go.” • When students have completed all sections of the test, click “End Session” button.

  28. Proctor/Teacher Proctor/Teacher OPTIONAL: Click “Test Session Comments” window for reporting.

  29. Proctor/Teacher Proctor/Teacher • For live sessions, please print these receipts. • send to Jami-Jon (district mail) • no later than a week after administration finished. • Hit Done to finish.

  30. SCREEN READER accommodation • REMEMBER TO ADD THIS AS ACCOMMODATION! • Must be in student’s IEP. • Student clicks green play button. • Places cursor at beginning of the sentence to read (double-click). • Reader will keep reading until play is hit or there is no more text. • It does not work on reference sheet.

  31. Student Test Workstation-STW • Web application for accessing test content. • Students answer questions using mouse and/or keyboard. • Secure application so other programs cannot be accessed. • Answers automatically saved when student selects the NEXT button.

  32. STUDENT Click on icon. Type in student Ticket login/password and click the “Login” Button. • Write “Test Access Code” on the board, and click “Start Test” button. • Not case sensitive. • Teacher guides students through test.When finished, student selects “Complete” then “Close.”
