Sustainability Plans Discussion • The following long range goals are designed to implement BP 3214, Environmentally Sustainable Practices • Reduce energy consumption as compared to a 2007-08 baseline • Design and construct new facilities to meet or exceed LEED Certified requirements • Increase self generated energy capacity • Reduce water usage

  4. Sustainability Plans Discussion • Long Range Goals - continued • Increase the number of vehicles that run on alternative fuels • Minimize waste generation • Maximize the use of recyclable material in food service operations

  5. Sustainability Plans Discussion • Long Range Goals - continued • Commit our institutions to initiate tangible actions to reduce greenhouse gases • Develop methods to monitor consumption activity and routinely report it to the campus community and annually to the Board of Trustees
