  1. starting YOUR OWN BUSINESS WHAT DOES IT TAKES?

According to Mike Lynch (Founder of technology giant autonomy), “If you really want to succeed as an entrepreneur, you have to be utterly obsessed and if you are not, it’s very hard to be successful… you’re probably better working in a business that’s already established”. Looking back to when it all started, it has been God all the way.

  3. HOW DID IT ALL START?

  4. November 2004, I joined the workforce of the redeemed Christian fellowship, OlabisiOnabanjo University as an instrumentalist but I was posted to the technical department because I failed the instrument practical test not knowing they were pushing me to fulfil destiny. (NEVER SEE FAILURE AS A PROBLEM BUT SEE IT AS A CHALLENGE YOU NEED TO CONQUER TO MOVE TO THE NEXT LEVEL).

  5. My passion for sound engineering started developing in 2005 and I was learning very fast. (IT TAKES HUMILITY TO LEARN WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW). Towards the end of the year (2005) I was appointed as the acting technical director of the fellowship because the leader was not around for a semester and Jan 2006, I was made the technical director of the fellowship.

  6. Towards the end of the year (2006), I started my own business with the name Etech Studios but it failed in 2007 because of the following reasons:

  7. March 2008, I graduated at the university and joined Eko Reelmix Studios in June as an audio engineer with no formal experience and after one month I was appointed as the studio manager. January 2009, I moved to PF Syztems formerly known as Praise Foundation as an audio engineer, I left Eko reelmix studios because I wanted more experience and was getting very little there. (FOR YOU TO GROW FAST, YOU NEED TO WORK WITH PEOPLE THAT WILL STRECH YOU).

  8. In 2010, I was appointed as the Operations/Marketing manager. September 2010, I resigned because I got a better offer in an advertising agency as the head of audio department but despite the very attractive salary and other benefit, I resigned after 3month and started my own company.

  9. What did I do?

  10. The company is today known as AE DISTINCT COMMUNICATIONS We started operations Jan 2011.

  11. Feb 2011, we did the first job for RCCG at gymnasium hall (Stadium) with no profit. March 2011, we did another job (Presidential debate) working under an agency with very little profit. From that period till June, there was no job bringing income, nevertheless, I kept planning, thinking and strategizing. (NO MATTER WHAT COMES YOUR WAY, YOU NEED TO KEEP WORKING AND BUILDING UP YOUR SELF FOR THE TASK AHEAD OF YOU AND ALWAYS REMEMBER ROMS 8:18).

  12. In July, things turn around and jobs started coming in, from MTN text mania to MTN family game show and in august MTN Project fame. From that period till now, the company has been growing bigger and better and truly it has been God!

  13. WHAT DOES IT TAKES?

  14. What does it cost God to create the heaven and the earth?

  15. The Word! (Genesis 1) • To fulfil destiny you need to be careful of the words you speak and most importantly, guard your heart with all diligence because out of it flows the issues of life, Proverbs 4:23. • The life you live now has been created by the thoughts that run through your mind and shaped by your tongue. Ephesians 3:20.

Passion: Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life. • “Before starting your own business, ask yourself what do I believe in, so much so that I want to do, such that I will make effort to make it happen every day, even when am not paid, I will be okay with the success or failure of that idea resting squarely on my shoulders? If the answer to that is nothing, please don’t quit your day job. But if something comes immediately to mind…you might just have what it takes”.
