  2. ADMX recap The Axion Dark Matter eXperiment (ADMX) looks for axions in our galactic halo We are the only experiment sensitive to plausible dark matter axions Previous versions of ADMX were able to place bounds on realistic axions Dmitry Lyapustin 2 April APS meeting

  3. How sensitive are we? By far the most sensitive radio receiver on Earth Capable of detecting 10-26 W of radiative power Your cellphone on Mars would get 4 bars* *Without the ADMX shielding Dmitry Lyapustin 3 April APS meeting

  4. How can we do better? Radiometer equation: Previous versions of ADMX ran at ~ 4K system temperature We are upgrading the experiment to use a dilution refrigerator We expect to get down to ~ 100 mK with the upgrade Dmitry Lyapustin 4 April APS meeting
