Highlight of Current Activities • DMB Service in Korea • Launched T-DMB commercial service in March 2005 • 7 Video channels, 13 Audio channels, 8 Data channels • The number of subscribers(terminal) is 42million (2010.12) • One of the world’s most successfully deployed technology • Standardization Status • Standardization of T-DMB specification(2003.12) • Standardization of AT-DMB(Advanced T-DMB) specification(2009.06) • 41 standards are published from 2003 until now • 2011 Main issue: Standard for DMB Filecasting Service • To support multimedia content downloading service based on DMB-AF which is file based non-realtime downloading service in T-DMB • Completed and published in September 28, 2011

Next Steps / Actions • Standardization of the TTI Weather Information for DMB • To provide local weather information, short term weather forecasting, local weather forecasting, weekly weather forecasting and typhoon information service • Defines weather information transmission, reception and presentation schemes for TTI(Traffic and Traveler Information) services in DMB • Standardization of Interface for Terrestrial DMB DGPS(Differential GPS) Service • To provide the compensation information of location determination for GPS • Defines requirements and specification of the interface between AT-DMB ensemble multiplexer and transmitter
