  2. Guidance Counselor Mrs. Herold Students will interact with the guidance counselors in order to gather information, address concerns or problems, set future goals and assist with scheduling. College/Career Resources are available in the Guidance Office

  3. Guidance Services • Student Schedule Changes as permitted by policy. • Career Exploration • Resources • College/School Visitation • Resources & Permission Forms Academic Requirements • A total of 27 credits and appropriate scores on the Keystone Exams are required for graduation .

  4. Academic Requirements • A full year course will be given one full credit and a semester course will be given a half credit. • To be considered a 10th grade student a student must accumulate a total of 6 credits. • To be considered an 11th grade student a student must accumulate a total of 12 credits. • To be considered a 12th grade student a student must accumulate a total of 19 credits. Specific Requirements; • 4.0 credits of English & 3.0 credits of Social Studies • 4.0 credits of Math & 4.0 credits of Science • 9.0 credits of Electives & .5 credits of Health • 1.5 credits of PE, .5 of computers, .5 English elective • A student who does not meet the requirements for graduation from JM will not be permitted to participate in the senior end-of-year activities and the graduation ceremony. • IT IS THE STUDENTS/PARENTS RESPONSIBILITIY TO ENSURE THAT ALL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS ARE MET.

  5. Academic Requirements • All students are required to pass the subject area Keystone Exams as a requirement for graduation. • Keystone Subject Exams • Algebra 1 • Biology • Literature
