The Kingdom of Darkness • Satan is a REAL enemy….His philosophy is to offer an alternative (counterfeit)Kingdom • Through False Religions • Work based • Promote an alternate path to God, which bypasses Jesus • Disguise the moral/ethical structure of God’s true intention (usually sexual deviancy) • Through a False Lifestyle • Pleasure • Possessions/Materialism • Positions

  3. The Kingdom of Darkness • Define Tactics: • It is the techniques & maneuvers  used in engaging and defeating an enemy in battle. • Define Influence • The ability to change the progress of changeable things such as conduct, thoughts or decisions.

The Kingdom of Darkness • 3 Areas of Influence • External Influence – The World • His tactical goal: Fuse Worldly Values with Kingdom Concepts • Spiritual/Supernatural Influence - The Enemy • His tactical goal: Downplay our spiritual authority • Internal Influence- The Flesh • His tactical goal: Interrupt Spiritual Progress or Sever Kingdom Relationship

  5. The Kingdom of Darkness • The Kingdom of Darkness is an organized Sovereignty, recognized by the Kingdom of Heaven

  6. The Kingdom of Darkness • This Kingdom consist of : • Satan • Fallen Angels (aka. Evil Spirits, Demons) • Unbelievers

The Kingdom of Darkness • Arche-Principalities/ Powers • Primary/Preeminent Rulers; Chief Ruler. • Principality-position of a prince, region or state ruled by a prince • These are demonic Princes that rule over the spiritual realm of each city, state and nations. They are supernaturally ruling and reigning over their visible human agents of political, social, religious and philosophical programs

Exousia- Powers/Authority • Delegated influence: authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength. • Authority-the ability or rights to influence or control otherswithin the limits or territory (jurisdiction) which authority may be exercised • These are the agents executing authority and influencing the world around us in order to establish the Kingdom of Darkness’ agenda which is to keep men blind to the truth of the GOSPEL.

  9. The Kingdom of Darkness • Exousía denotes the executive power while Arché̄ (rule), represents the authority granting the power.

Kosmokrator /(kos·mok·rat·ore)The Rulers of the Darkness of this age • Also translated:Cosmic (Universal) powers over this present darkness • In the OT - Brightness denotes salvation and darkness denotes perdition • (utter destruction -death) • The architects & planners of present day Evil; which usually involves death • Kittel, G., Friedrich, G., & Bromiley, G. Pŏnēria/ (pon-ay-ree´-ah), Spiritual Wickedness in heavenly places • Depravity, iniquity, wickedness. 2 Malice. 3 evil purposes and desires. • Depravity: moral corruption • Malice: desire to inflict injury, harm, or suffering on another, either because of a hostile • impulse or out of deep-seated meanness • Spirits that desire to inflict harm, suffering, moral corruption, evil desires upon the Children of God who sit in the heavenlies with Christ. • Strong, J.   13. The Kingdom of Darkness • What exactly is Demon Possession? • Daimonizomai /dahee·mon·id·zom·ahee-, meaning to be under the power of a demon

The Kingdom of Darkness • Christians cannot be affected by demonic activity for two reasons. • First, Christians have the Holy Spirit dwelling insideof them and NOT any other spirit • (John 7:39, 2 Corinthians 11:4, 1 John 4:1, 2 Timothy 1:7, and 1 Corinthians 10:20-21 2. Second, a demon-possessed state usually involve persons who are not saved at the time of possession.

  16. The Kingdom of Darkness • You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4) • Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7). 3. Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1).
