  4. Demand, not supply driven For the users it is not important whether the sources ofknowledge and experience are kept by archives, libraries or museums, but to get access to the sources they want, and to be able to use & re- use these sources across types of sources and sectors of institutions.

  5. 2008: full collaboration among 48 EU national libraries. 2008: access to >= 2 million digital books, films, photographs, manuscripts, and other cultural works - multilingual; searchable and usable; 2010: >= 6 million digital objects; including also - museums & archives- local and private initiatives (EuropeanaLocal) EU Roadmap / milestones
