Involvement of National Ozone Cell for Framing Specifications for Zero ODP and Low GWP Products • Framing Ozone Depletion Policy for promoting zero ODP and Low GWP and the Best Practices to be adopted involving all the stake holders • Online suggestions can be accepted in GeM for inclusion of specifications for promoting zero ODP and Low GWP • Any ISO or International Standards for new Products and Services can be sent to GeM authorities for consideration • ECO Friendly Products can be marketed in GeM • QCBS methods to be followed for encouraging the above objectives

PROFILE OF SHRI R.KARUPPIAH ADG (Quality Assurance) • Graduated from IIT Madras in B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) in the year 1982 • Engineers India limited-four years in the petrochemical projects & cross country pipelines. • Heading Indian Inspection Service- 1984 through UPSC (Presently ADG-QA, DGS&D) responsible for e-procurement project of DGS&D. • Additional function maintaining Government E-Market Place (GeM) for Products and Services. • International training at JICA, Japan on Total Quality Controls (TQC) in the year 1992 • Lead Auditor conducted by CII, New Delhi in the year 1998 in ISO 9001-2008 • E-Champion program at NISG Hyderabad for undertaking e-governance projects in 2007. • Trained at many leading institutes in the subject of Welding Technology, Reliability Engineering, Recent Techniques in Metallurgy, Machine Tools Inspection, Managerial Effectiveness, Organizational Behavior and Leadership.
