Day One: Thursday or Friday Depending on Period • Quiet Question: Type Two Prompt---We are going to work with interviews of people who lived through the partition of India and Pakistan. • the primary source readings are split into two groups: one for Sikhs and Hindus and the other for Muslims. • Half the class will be working with the Sikhs and Hindus, while the other half will be working with the Muslims. • Steps: • Read the primary source interview assigned to you from the class set. • Sikhs and Hindus: A1 through A5 • Muslims: B1 through B5 • In the space below, make notes about the main points from the interview. • Then answer the prompt. • Type Two Prompt: Based upon your assigned primary source and your Partition of India and Pakistan Graphic Organizer Notes, why would all of this create long-lasting conflict between Pakistan and India even to this day? Explain.
