  1. Avengers through the decades.. The Avengers was made up of earths mightiest heroes, created to take on enemies one hero could not handle alone 1st issue 1963

  2. The Avengers first issue was released in 1963 consisting of.. The evolution of the Avengers quickly began with Ant man becoming Giant man and Iron mans newly designed armour

  3. It was not long before Captain America was discovered and was inducted into the Avengers, who became arguably the most iconic member of the Avengers Captain America took the place of Hulk because of his inability to be controlled 60’s

  4. In issue 16 when everyone leaves the Avengers except for Captain America, new members are recruited, starting the Avengers roster that would grow by introducing many new characters that become icons and some that are simply fads Some Avengers icons that would be brought up are Black Panther, Vision, Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch

  5. 70’s The Avengers kick off the 70’s by fighting in the Kree-Skrull war

  6. The roster continued to shift in the 70’s introducing new characters like Black Widow, Ms Marvel, Beast and Wonder Man

  7. The 80s introduced the problems of Hank Pym (Ant Man, Giant Man, Goliath, Yellowjacket) who had abused his wife Wasp due to his personality problems, he quit heroics but would later return 80’s The 80s also involved the first spinoff of the Avengers, The West Coast Avengers, which was created by Hawkeye

The most significant event of the 90’s was when the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four fought against Onslaught, members of the team including Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and the Fantastic Four sacrificed themselves to save the rest 90’s It was later discovered that the son of Mr Fantastic and invisible woman had god like powers and sent them to an alternate universe instead of them dying

The 2000’s involved many spinoffs of the Avengers such as The New Avengers, Mighty Avengers and Avengers: The Initiative 2000’s The 2000’s also introduce the Ultimate Universe a slightly more dark, enhanced spin on heroes, including the Avengers The Marvel Civil war also starts which includes two sides of Marvels greatest heroes fighting for two different ideas of heroism

  10. Fads of the Avengers There were many fads of the Avengers because of its massive roster that evolved through the decades with heroes constantly joining and leaving along with the various spin offs of the original Avengers issues

  11. Avengers Icons Through the many years of the Avengers and the rapidly changing roster, the icons still remain, who have evolved over the decades to become many peoples favourite heroes. Some of these icons include Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Giant Man, Wasp, Hawkeye, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Hulk, Vision, Scarlet Witch as well as some of the X-Men and Fantastic Four

  12. 2012 2012, the Avengers movie is released, consisting of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Hulk and Black Widow, the multi million dollar movie is one of the highest grossing movies of all time

  13. The Avengers smashed box office records, earning 207.4 million dollars in the opening weekend alone
