Room L 109912- 1 pm & 1:30-2:30 pm Low Learning Center Learning Objectives: Perform a systematic and comprehensive examination of the neurological patient to include the following parameters: level of consciousness, pupillary and motor responses, vital signs and some cranial nerve function. State the appropriate sequential order of stimulation when assessing a neurological patient. Differentiate the subtle, early clinical presentation of increased intracranial pressure from that of impending herniation. Light refreshments provided but bring your own lunch. Register with the Call Center at x 7692 * This program will award 1.0 Nursing Contact Hours for attendance at the entire program & completion of an evaluationJohn Dempsey Hospital is an Approved Provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the Connecticut Nurses’ Association, an Accredited Approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
