  6. Role of = • Equals • Balance • Same as Create your own number sentences using the = sign in a variety of ways.

  7. Role of = Replace the eight letters below with the digits 1  1  2  3  3  4  6  9 so both lines work out: A + B    =    6    =   C ÷ D E – F    =    8    =   G x H
