IHE Lab in The Netherlands • History • Jan. 2006: National Switchboard (LSP) for exchanging healthcare information • Jun. 2007: eLAb program initiated by NICTIZ • Dec. 2007: NICTIZ invited IHE Netherlands to deliver use-case input for eLab program • IHE-NL Lab working group • Started Dec. 2007 • User chair: Edwin Boel (UMC Utrecht, dept. Microbiology) • Vendor chair: Wiggert Kalis (MIPS) • Technical chair: Andries Hamster (Forcare B.V)

  3. IHE-NL Lab Working Group Goals & Objectives • Increase awareness of IHE Lab profile among Dutch laboratory user/vendors • Develop use-cases as input to the national “eLab program” • Stakeholder commitment through active stakeholder participation
