  6. 2012 Goals: Maintain Increased Player Registration  • Increase publicity and league exposure The Better Half TV Program USAHockey.com Mighty Pylons Article • GHATD player conversion GHATD Discounts: 50 discounts given for the last five seasons • Player retention League has grown ~32% since Winter 2007; average 90% returning skaters Maintaining division growth: 3 teams in Green, 6 teams in Red, 7 teams in Maroon, 4 teams in Blue  

  8. 2012 Goals: Maintain Increased Player Reg (cont.)  • Publicize and continue NCWHL Assistance Fund & Referral Bonus Referral Bonus: 20 bonuses paid in 2012; 55 awards in 3 yearsGiven current league size and rising ice costs, we are discontinuing the referral bonus Assistance Fund: 5 awards in 2012; 43 awards in 5 years • Offer best league value in Bay Area 

Comparison of Bay Area Adult Hockey Leagues • Notes: • Prices as of March 2013 for the upcoming season • NCWHL ice slots assumes Winter 2012-13 team breakdown (3 Green, 6 Red, 7 Maroon, 4 Blue) • Price for Sharks Ice and PHA can change depending on the number of players a team chooses to put on its roster. The costs above are calculated based on 13 players per team, the NCWHL maximum. • For Sharks Ice and PHA, playoffs are not guaranteed. This calculation assumes 1 playoff game.

Delivering the Best Value: Administrative Changes Immediate changes – recouping $13,000 this season: • Reduced the costs associated with administering evaluations • Discontinued the referral bonus program • Raise price of pickups and divisional scrimmages to $20/skater • Eliminated early bird incentives • Change gear sale price to $10 Future changes under evaluation: • Move to custom registration solution • Re-evaluate the benefits of the early bird registration price • Change cost of GHATD to $25
