He was very helpful in the Battle of Yorktown, which ended the war. Quote/Interesting Fact: he pretended to be a runaway slave and told the British that he would help them spy on the colonists, but he was really a spy for the colonists!

This gave the colonists an ally from Spain! Quote/Interesting Fact: The City of Galveston, TX is named after him.
  25. Haym Salomon Side chosen: Patriot During the Revolution, what is he known for? Being a member of the Sons of Liberty and was key in helping the colonists finance the war effort. Salomon was also Jewish. Quote/Interesting Fact: was arrested as a spy twice by the British, and later helped colonists escape who had also been arrested.
