  1. How to Check Ink Levels on Dell printer windows 10 or MAC?

  2. Then the ink gets spent, you are no longer capable of making new prints, at least not of good quality. In fact, when the ink levels are low, the prints will get all blurry. This is a sure sign that you need to replace the cartridges. But, even before that happens, you can check the ink levels manually.

  3. Here is how to do it on a Windows computer: Step 1 –Go to Control Panel on your Windows computer. Step 2 –Open ‘Devices and Printers’. Step 3 –Choose ‘Printing Preferences’. Step 4 –Click the tab ‘Estimate Ink Levels’.

  4. If you’re a Mac user, here are the guidelines you should follow: Step 1 –Go to ‘System Preferences’ on your Mac. Step 2 –Click on the printer. Step 3 –Choose the option ‘Supply Levels’.

  5. In both cases, you should get an estimate of how much ink is left in the cartridges. Still, you should know that the estimate does not have to be 100 percent accurate. In fact, in many cases, it is not correct!

  6. Usually, the computer will show much lower ink levels than what’s actually the case. This is a good news, as it means that there is in the cartridge, so that you’ll be able to print more. The bad news is that the ink has probably dried and clogged the toner.

  7. In order to solve this problem, here is what you can do: Step 1 –Take out the cartridges from your printer. Step 2 –Put them in lukewarm water. Step 3 –Leave the cartridges submerged in the water for 5-10 minutes. Step 4 –Make sure to properly dry the cartridges before putting them back in the printer. Step 5 –Put the cartridges in the printer and try printing again.

  8. After doing this, you can try to check the printer levels again by following the guidelines of Dell Printer Technical Support from above – the levels should be back to normal!
