  2. WAP Mission To reduce energy costs for low-income families, particularly for the elderly, people with disabilities, and children, while ensuring their health and safety

WX Plus Health Research • NASCSP will publish reports for each state and territory. • These reports will help the Network identify the following: • Review past, current and future healthy homes programs. • Location of healthy homes training programs/centers. • List possible partnerships. • Provide recommended actions for strengthening and establishing new healthy homes partnerships, and • Information detailing the location and type of service provided by local agencies and the WAP providers.

  4. WX Plus Health Research NASCSP will publish a national report which will include information on the following: • The most prevalent healthy homes partnerships, • Strategies for establishing and strengthening health and safety within the WAP, and • Protocols for facilitating partnerships between the WAP and other providers of health and safety services.

Weatherization Plus Health:Regional Conferences • Introduction to Healthy Homes and WAP (cont.) • WAP Health and Safety Guidance OverviewThis session will outline DOE’s revised Guidance for the WAP when addressing certain health and safety issues. • Conference Luncheon with Updates for our Federal and National Partners Includes updates from HUD, CDC, EPA, USDA, DOL, GHHI and NCHH • Promising Practices for an Integrated ApproachA panel of experts will discuss their experiences and expertise in forming, maintaining, and ensuring the success of innovative collaborations • Conference Reception • State Facilitated Working Breakfast • Introduction to State Facilitated Meeting Process II • State Facilitated Meetings • Opening SessionIncludes welcome from host state and updates from DOE • Introduction to State Facilitated ProcessOrganized by state, these meetings will establish foundations for future partnerships • Introduction to Healthy Homes and WAP (concurrent sessions) • Networking Lunch • Concurrent Sessions Continue

  7. Weatherization Plus Health: Web Portal • Website will provide a virtual library of information on existing programs, training opportunities, including detailed GIS data on the location of providers covering all 3,056 US counties. • Searchable online, open to the public

Weatherization Plus Health: Referrals, Training Development of a Referral System NASCSP will disseminate information on best practices for an ideal referral process for the WAP and HH partnerships. Analysis of Healthy Homes Training Programs NASCSP will research and provide a report on available training, certification, or accreditation programs.
