  3. Key considerations in Fund raising • Principals& Contradictions • Tax environment (individual, corporate) • Identification of Stakeholders that are close to your org, mission. What happens when you throw a stone into the sea? • Have you written your story , impact and planned achievements? • Do you have our B/S and Income Statement? Audited? Budget? • Diversity of Sources: Long-term Strategic Sponsors, Short term, Non-profit, public, private (individual, corporate, family foundations), online, international organizations, various products and organizations that you may create fund from sale of products& services such as a sale of a card, magazine, second hand stores, etc. • Sustainability. Can we repeat this fundraising event/product every year? Conference, product fairs, Gala dinners, Races..? • Can you get in-kind of donations? Don’t forget to keep the statistics. • How many volunteers will be involved? • What are the costs involved? Can we attain %8 GA expenses? • When you mature what are other financial tools you may consider?. Legacies& bequests, endowment, operating reserves.

  6. Organizations www.adım.adim.org Started first at 2008 with 50,000 euros to 250,000 in one event in Antalya in 2012. Founders are still active 2 women in their 30’s. 1000 runners collected money from 19,000 donors. Togbazaar event 2000 visitor. Total income from entrance and stant sale is 200,000 euros. 25 women working for 3 months.

  7. Funerals and Happy Days • Collection of money at funerals and happy days instead of giving flowers (27,000 events of 8.2 million net of TL 5.65 million in 2011) • TEV gave scholarships of 182,ooo students in Turkey and 1359 students abroad.
