  1. Multi-homing for small scale fixed network usingMobile IP and NEMO<draft-nagami-mip6-nemo-multihome-fixed-network-01.txt> Kenichi Nagami (INETC Netcore) Satoshi Uda (JAIST) Nobuo Ogashiwa (INTEC Netcore) Ryuji Wakikawa (Keio Univ.) Hiroshi Esaki (Univ. Tokyo) Hiroyuki Ohnishi (NTT)

  2. Purposes of our draft • to introduce a kind of practical scenario • to propose a multihoming architecture for small scale fixed network • purposes of the architecture are: • efficient use of multiple tunnels • load balancing • fault tolerance

  3. Overview of the architecture The Internet • Multihomed user can • select prefer incoming tunnel • do load balancing • obtain redundant tunnels • tunnels between HA and MR are established using NEMO advertise A:B:C::/48 HA1 HA2 ISP1 ISP2 MR1 MR2 A:B:C:X::/64 A:B:C:Y::/64

  4. Next step • What should we do? • merge into a scenario document? • attempt to make this draft a wg document or an informational RFC? • we appreciate your comments, questions, or suggestions • please send to NEMO ML • or mailto: ogashiwa@inetcore.com
