Lawn Care Tips for Winter In November

A common question at this time of year is: “Do I have to mow the lawn to shorten last year’s crop?” One reason to consider some shorter land surfaces in the fall is the reduced incidence (mostly) of snow casting next spring. 1. Although much of the month of November is one of the best times for lawn growth and recovery, it is tempting to take care of our thoughts, practices and equipment by mid to late September. The reason for this period of active growth is that grasslands that adapt to this area are best suited for the colder and usually humid conditions of spring and the autumn. 1- While our herbs continue to grow, we must continue grinding if necessary. With colder temperatures and shorter days, the intervals of mowing are usually longer, while later we go in the month. A common question at this time of year is: “Do I have to mow the lawn to shorten last year’s crop?” One reason to consider some shorter land surfaces in the fall is the reduced incidence (mostly) of snow casting next spring. A more moderate herb can create a more favorable habitat for the fungus to live and grow in winter. Lawn Care Algonquin IL see the results of that mold growth in the following spring, when, as the snow melts and comes back from the lawn area, the lawn will appear covered with gray or pink spots that indicate the presence of snow mold. However, reducing the height of a grass field can not only be reserved for the last cut. If the turf is maintained, for example, about 2.5 to 3.0 inches in the growing season and the desire is to reduce this to two centimeters, then start the process to lower the cutting height from two to three gradually during the last cut. That helps make the lawn at a lower level of cutting and gradual rather than being brushed just before in colder conditions. a more stressful condition for the lawn. When the grass grows still active in November, cut more often to reach the lowest cutting height and then maintain. This is because shorter cutting heights require a more frequent mowing to settle and maintain.

  2. 2- November is the month when the leaves fall from our deciduous trees. The spectacular autumn colors of early November take place in the leafless trees that are ready for the winter months. And what about all the leaves? A small amount (usually less than a few centimeters) of autumn leaves can be left on the surface of the lawn and can be ground on a rotary mower. Be sure to cross it several times, so that the remaining leaf particles can be easier on the grass and on the

The leaves can also be removed from the lawn, retrieved with the mower trailer by hiring Landscaper Elgin IL professionals (if applicable) and redistributed as a cover in another part of the garden without grass or compost. 3- Starting in November is an excellent time to apply herbicides to perennial weeds such as dandelion, Charlie, clover and banana. If there are only a few weeds, manual extraction can be as effective as a herbicide. On the other hand, weed control products are now widely available in containers of ready-to-use applications. Therefore, we can treat specific weeds while introducing minimal amounts of herbicide into the environment. 4- It does not seem necessary or even appropriate to talk about watering a lawn given the amount of rain and the flood problems encountered in recent weeks. However, if November is dry and remains warm, it is likely that the lawn will benefit from an additional irrigation or two before closing during the winter. In general, it is good practice not to leave grasslands in winter conditions, which are severely stressed due to lack of water. According to the Snow Plowing Service, this year we do not have to follow 1 inch per week due to cooler temperatures and shorter days. Both conditions slow down the loss of lawn water and, therefore, any desired watering can be carried out at longer intervals. In other words, in the summer months, the same water of 1 inch of water (including rain) may depend on weather conditions for two or even three weeks at this time of year. 5- Finally, new suggestions for applying nitrogen fertilizers to Minnesota lawns no longer contain an application from the end of November to the beginning of November. In summary, the new research about the utility of that nitrogen application due to the inefficiency it receives from the turf grass plant. Therefore, the preferred time of fertilizer application at the end of the season for Lawn Care Elgin. Nitrogen absorption is much better at that time of year and provides enough nitrogen for the grass plant that is in a period of very active growth. During the fall, with discreet lawn care practices, you can guarantee a healthy lawn in the winter months and a healthier lawn to start the growing season next season. Success!
