  1. Setting up a blog@edublog.org Part 1 With Thomas Hi Ya all!!! This is a step by step slideshow that will take you through the process Cool and Calm!!

  2. Go to www.edublogs.org Are you ready???? Steady??? GOOOOOOOO….sign up for free!! Look at a video about what Edublogs is and that will give you an overview of what is on offer!! Here is 10 ways of how you can use blogs to teach Read a few of the teacher blogs to see how teachers are using blogs in real life!!

  3. Fill in your username. Make it something that you can remember thomas123 Make sure that you will have access to your e-mail box. You will receive an activation link via e-mail and will have to activate before you will be able to use your blog!!! thomas@gmail.com Type exactly- it checks that you are human!! Use this option if you only want to be able to comment on other edu-bloggers’ blogs 7722 Hit it Baby!!!! 

  4. Stop to think for a moment here. • Choose the domain name so that it can: • Be relevant to what your blog is about • Is easy to remember • If it is a class blog…eg gr11geographyclass Your blog title does not need to be the same as your blog domain. It can be more elaborate if you want !! learn2blog Learn 2 blog with Thomas!! If you are shy  do not tick this. You can always go and tick it later!!! Hit it again Baby!!!! 

  5. Sometimes the blog domain name that you chose, already exist.  Don’t panic!! Just choose another one!! If you fill in something incorrectly, it will always take you back to the previous screen and highlight the incorrect entry in pink learn2blogwiththomas Hit it Baby!!!! 

  6. Lam tie dam tie dam… I am waiiiiiting Sign into your e-mail inbox and wait for your activation e-mail to arrive……

  7. Finally!!!! To activate your blog, please click the following link: http://learn2blogwiththomas.edublogs.org/wp-activate.php?key=77aa1518c5124243 After you activate, you will receive *another email* with your login. After you activate, you can visit your blog here: http://learn2blogwiththomas.edublogs.org/ Click on this link to activate your blog After activation you will get a screen with your username and password Copy your password (highlightCTRLC) And then Click on Login Jippeeee

  8. Sign into your site with this username and password. Username: thomas123 Password: 30de53 MMMM I must remember to go and change my password later… Copy your password (highlightCTRLC) And then click on this link

  9. Sign into your site with your username and password. DO you remember that you copied your password? Now just go CLT V (Or rightclick and paste) thomas123 ae9716 If you are working on your own computer that only you use, tick this one…but if you are on a school PC, DON’T Hit it Baby!!!! 

  10. Cool Dashboard! Just look at all the things I can do!!! But 1st let me change my password!!!

  11. You now have a choice to update your profile… Remember to only give out information you feel comfortable to share.. So why do I have to change my password?? Well, you will neeeever remember the password they send you….choose something you will remember!! ************ ************ Click here…

  13. Hey what is this?? I never wrote a post….!!! Your blog will have a generic theme with a system generated 1st post “Hello World”and a comment In the next “thomaszode” you will learn how to “customize” your blog with your own pages, custom heading, categories, blogroll and more….
