  1. ALIEN INVASION Causing Changes All Over the City!

  2. YOUR TASK You are reporters and aliens have invaded the city. Everything the aliens touch changes in some manner; these can be physical or chemical changes. You will develop a 3 “news stories” and each story willDESCRIBE one of the changes you, the reporter, witnessed. You must not state if the change is physical or chemical; the class will determine that when you present.

  3. REQUIREMENTS • Each news story will be written in “reporter speak” and will state clues that lead the reader to infer if the change was physical or chemical. • Each storywill include an illustration that supports the text.

  4. EXAMPLE This just in, the UFO just opened its doors and deployed what appears to be alien invasion warriors. These creatures have tremendous powers and seem to be on a mission to destroy every tall building in the city. Every time one of the tentacles touches a building, a strange odor is produced and the building turns purple just before it crumbles to the ground in an oozing pile of rubble. US troops have just entered the area; we will keep you posted. PHYSICAL OR CHEMICAL?
