  5. Configure a Wireless LAN Controller • clear config • Removes configuration • reset system • Reboots WLC

  6. Configure a Wireless LAN Controller • System Name [Cisco_33:45:40]: wlc01 • host name • Enter Administrative User Name (24 characters max): cisco • Administrator account • Enter Administrative Password (24 characters max): ***** • Administrator password

Configure a Wireless LAN Controller • Management Interface IP Address: 192.168.2.10 • Address for management • Management Interface Netmask: 255.255.255.0 • Management Interface Default Router: 192.168.2.1 • Management Interface VLAN Identifier (0 = untagged): • Management Interface Port Num [1 to 4]: 4

Configure a Wireless LAN Controller • Management Interface DHCP Server IP Address: 192.168.2.1 • AP Manager Interface IP Address: 192.168.2.11 • Address that AP communicate with • AP-Manager is on Management subnet, using same values • AP Manager Interface DHCP Server (192.168.2.1): • Virtual Gateway IP Address: 1.1.1.1

Join a LWAP to the Controller • 1130 and 1240 access point (already converted to LWAP)‏ • Connect access point to same layer 2 network as WLC (192.168.2.0)‏ • In this lab everything is on vlan1 (untagged)‏ • The access point will automatically associate with the WLC • This controller supports six access points
