International company • Outline the most challenging goal that you have worked towards recently • Using a specific example, describe how you have established effective working relationships with a group of people who have different personalities or styles • Please describe a situation where you faced a complex problem

  3. Chartered Accountants • What benefits have you gained from your work experience? • Describe an occasion when you worked as part of a team, and what your contribution to the team was • Describe a recent situation where you demonstrated motivation and initiative (relating to either a work or university experience)

  4. National Health Service clinical science traineeships • Use this page to give details of any relevant experience or special skills and training. It will strengthen your application if you give examples of working in a team, problem solving and decision making, communication skills, flexibility and using your own initiative.

  5. Teacher training • Personal statement: Describe briefly your reasons for wanting to teach giving the relevance of your previous education and experience, including teaching, visits to schools and other work with young people

  6. Industrial placement • Details of your main extra curricular activities and interests: What do you contribute and what do you get out of them? • Explain a situation when you have been following a specific course of action until something unexpected happened. Describe what happened and what you did to manage the situation

  7. Large UK retailer: summer placements • What was the most significant thing you have learned from your work experience? Please tell us how it has developed you • Thinking about all your positions of responsibility and other activities, describe the most significant challenge you have faced. How did you tackle it? What was the outcome? What did you learn?
