  1. 2010 2011 2011/12 2012 Key: Concept/Feasibility Planning Construction Completion PROJECT NAME: INTERNATIONAL TRADE CENTRE THEME: PORT CENTRIC DISTRIBUTION (SUPERPORT) REACH: NORTH WEST REGION REF: XX Peel are proposing two sitesfor the construction of anInternational Trade Centre in the Northwest. Thiswould be a facility in excess of 1 million square feet to enable Chinese, Indian or other emerging economies to exhibit, sell and even distribute their goods into UK, Irish and European markets. The facility may includeshowroom spaces, warehousing facilities, assembly plant and would make use of multiple connectivity via road, rail and water. The synergy and connectivity of SuperPort, Ports and Airports, as well as the Liverpool Waters and Wirral Waters developments, help to bring this initiative together. • Key Facts: • 1 million + square feet. • Chinese ‘Gateway’ to UK and European markets. • Showroom space for > 1,000 Chinese / International companies. • Motorway, rail, air and port connectivity. • Peel seeking Chinese partners. • The two sites proposed are: • Port Bridgewater adjacent to Ellesmere Port • West Float within Wirral Waters • Both sites would benefit from direct road, rail and water transport connections. • Peel would offer an economically beneficial package of Port-to-Door rates making the Port of Liverpool the best solution for incoming goods over and above all southern UK ports. • Companies wishing to take space to exhibit their goods would have immediate access to all UK, Irish and European markets at a 1-2 hour travel distance via direct flights to Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
