  2. Why a Cinema • College students want entertainment for their free time, and movies are just one possible form of entertainment • Has the potential to bring in revenue and be accommodating to both students and families.

  4. Proposed Business • IT Cinemas – a first-run theater company showing new and current films • Proposed location – near SUNYIT campus & local residential areas

  5. Business Objectives • Good startup sales – at least 500 tickets within first two weeks of opening • Offer a friendly working environment for both students and members of the community.

  6. Mission Statement • To provide a friendly environment where both students and families may attend to watch movies. • To offer a state of the art system which enhances movie experience • To offer employment opportunities to both students and members of the community

  14. Summary of Competition • Nearest Competition is towards downtown, south of the thruway, not close to campus or shopping • No competition near SunyIT campus – must drive to nearest theater rather than be able to walk.
