  2. Transfer Goals • Foster a seamless transition from Delta to a four-year university • Increase the transfer participation rate of Delta students • Increase the number of students who earn an Associate Degree • Encourage students to see a Counselor to develop a Student Education Plan (SEP)

Transfer Activities • Annual Transfer Day/College Night Programs (9/6/2012) • Transfer Opportunity Program (TOP) UC Davis • CSU/UC admission application workshops • CCC-UC Data Sharing Project • Monthly calendar of visiting reps • English 1A presentations • UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG)

Transfer Admission Guarantee • 7 UC campuses Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz • UC launched online TAG application • Offered online TAG workshops (July-Sept.) • Identified/contacted students who met TAG criteria • http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/transfer/guarantee/index.html

  6. Flow of Transfer Students • Transfer Pipeline to the University of the Pacific • Fall 2011 – 103 students • Fall 2010 – 106 students -- 50% of Jr. class transferred from Delta • Provides institutional funds matching Cal Grant Awards and CIP tuition remission

SB 1440 (Padilla)Student Transfer Achievement Reform Act • Students will be able to earn an Associate Degree AND prepare for transfer • Provides a clear pathway for transfer • Students will not be required to repeat similar classes • Upon completion of AA-T/AS-T degree, student is guaranteed junior standing to CSU • Priority admission when applying to a CSU • Priority consideration when applying to programs similar to the students community college major. http://www.calstate.edu/transfer/degrees/AAAS-TDegreeRequirements.shtml

  8. The Associate Degree for Transfer:AA-T or AS-T 1. To earn an “associate degree for transfer” a student must complete 60 semester units . . . that are eligible for transfer . . . that consist of: • IGETC or CSU GE Breadth • a major or area of emphasis of at least 18 units, as defined by the CCC 2.
