Filipino diasporas bring this devotion with nostalgic fervor around the world joyfully culminating on Christmas day. The Filipino community at the Cathedral of St. Patrick organized in December 2007 the Simbang Gabi sa Katedral to usher in the Advent season in New York City with the different Parishes in the tri-state area where novena Masses are celebrated. We nurture our faithfulness in the Christ Child by sharing this devotion as well as your donation to our charitable project this year. In the spirit of the season, join the Simbang Gabi sa Katedralon Saturday, December 5, 2009, 6:30 pm, at the Cathedral of St. Patrick, Mass of the Gifts, to be celebrated by His Excellency, Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan to sharea more spiritually meaningful Christmas preparation as we celebrate the birth of the Christ Child with our “kababayan” in need of assistance. Our beloved Pope John Paul II once said that “…some people’s surplus are sometimes other people’s sustenance…”. Please help us extend your very generous donations to the less fortunate among us.
