  6. Career Development Career development Is the process of managing life, learning, and work over the life span. Career development services Are services “intended to assist people, of any age and at any point throughout their lives to make educational, training and occupational choices and to manage their careers”.

Key Elements • Self awareness (values, interests, skills, ethics, story, brand, readiness, LOC) • Opportunity awareness (labour market information and intelligence, exploration, networking,) • Decision making– (planning (A+B), strategies and decision making) • Transitions & career management (action, positioning, self marketing, capacity building, addressing skills gaps, timing)
