  1. Psalm 46 “Be Still And Know That I Am God.”

  2. God is the Refuge For His People (46:1-3) The Power of God (Psalms 46:1-3) To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. A Song. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult. Selah (RSV)

  3. God is Present In Zion (46:4-7) The Presence of God (Psalms 46:4-7) There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah (RSV)

  4. God will be Exalted in the Earth (46:8-11) The Peace of God (Psalms 46:8-11) Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has wrought desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow, and shatters the spear, he burns the chariots with fire! "Be still, and know that I am God. I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth!" The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah (RSV)

  5. God Will Be Honored! Now And Eternally (Philippians 2:9-11) Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (RSV)

  6. Are You In The Stronghold Of God? Application For Today • The Power of God. • (Romans 1:16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel: it is the power of God for salvation to every one who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. (RSV) • The Presence of God. • (1 John 4:14-16) And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son as the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. So we know and believe the love God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. (RSV) • The Peace Of God. • (2 Corinthians 5:18) All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; (RSV)
