  5. The Swedish Net University Agency • Established March 1 year 2002, located in Härnösand. Goal: to increase the access and extent of IT-based • distance education within the higher educationThe Agency supports the universities by • Register the courses and programmes • Present the courses and programmes in a web portal • Administer and coordinate the activities within the Net University • Provide educational development support • Support the implementation of Swedish and international experiences

International committte • The international committee of the Swedish Netuniversity Agency covers and is consultant on e-learning andIT-supported distance education. • The committee • travel and make study visits, • cover magazines and newspapers, • cover national and international meetings, • build network contacts, and • give advice to the director general.
