Beingavailable for work To beavailable for workmeans: • To beregistered at the job centre (jobnet.dk) as unemployed. • Have an approved cv on jobnet.dk • Check the job propositions every 7th day • Being a resident in Denmark • Beingable to take a job on short notice • Activelyapplying for jobs, youarequalified for • Participate in the meetings and interviews MA or the job centre invitesyou to. • Participate in the activities, contained in the job plan youmake with the job centre, and activelyseekingwork MA assesses and determinesyouravailability for work.

  6. Job search and availability • You must apply for jobs everyweek. MA recommends, thatyouapply for several jobs everyweek. • Your job search must berealistic. This means, thatyou must bequalified for the jobs youapply for, that you must make yourself available for jobs you can manage, and that you must do what you can to find work. • If thereisn’tenough job openingswithinyour profession you must apply for jobs outsideyourfield. You must beavailable for any job youareable to do. Change yourstrategy on a regular basis. Widenyourscope. • You must use all channels for your job search: advertised jobs, unsolicited job search. Use your network and your contacts. • You must apply for full time positions - even if you have a part time job. • You must primarilyapply for jobs in Denmark. Applications for jobs abroadcount as a supplement. • Applications for ”virksomhedspraktik” and ”løntilskud” do not count.

  14. Aktivering – workactivityscheme Yourfirst offer of aktivering must be at latest: After 13 weeks of unemployment, if youare under 30 years old Afterninemonths of unemployment, if youarebetween 30 and 59 Aftersixmonths of unemployment, if your over 60 years old If youwork more than 20 hours per week, youare not obliged to participate in aktivering. The Job centre or AndenAktør, works out a job plan for you, which describes your aktivering.

Opportunities Job med løntilskud: subsidised job (public/private) – aktivering Virksomhedspraktik: Trainee programme – aktivering Courses (as part of Job Plan) (e.g. Danish Lessons) – aktivering Job seeking abroad – take your dagpenge (unemployment benefits) to another EEA country (max three months) in order to look for a job “Seksugersselvvalgtuddannelse” Training program (e.g. coaching, project management, Lean).   16. Whatnext? Next meeting in MA will be in three months where MA will assess your availability on the job market (rådighedsmøde). Your preparation for the meeting: Update your Jobsøgningsplan Make a Job log – save an overview of the jobs, that you have applied for on MA Selvbetjening on ma-kasse.dk. Please send it electronically to MA two days before your next meeting in MA.
