ETWDD Mission • Encourages an exchange of views and information on matters related to nuclear education, training, & workforce development • Links the academic, industrial, and governmental communities • Involves educators, trainers, and students working together on nuclear education issues • Enriches their professional development • Educates the general public • Advances nuclear science and engineering • Provides a venue for collaboration on nuclear training - CONTE • Promotes workforce development initiatives • Name change in 2010 to reflect growing emphasis on developing the future nuclear workforce.

  9. Kent W. Hamlin Memorial Scholarship • Two $1000 scholarship per year • To Nuclear Uniform Curriculum Program Participants • Currently funded at $19,129.14 • Requires a $40,000 endowment (we’re ½ way there)

  14. ETWDD Meetings • National & International Meeting Participation • 3 to 5 sessions plus 2 to 3 panels at every summer & winter meeting • CONTE 07, 09, 11 – Class 1 Topical • NESTet – May 2011, Prague

CONTE 2011 317 attendees, 47 of who were international, representing 11 countries other than the U.S. 75 technical presentations and 2 panel sessions (10 more than CONTE 2009)  Our sessions were grouped into themes including:- Industry / college partnerships- operator training- engineering training- nuclear uniform curriculum- applications of technology in training- new plant- human performance The ETWDD share of the proceeds was $29,800.00.

Opportunities • Better use division funds to promote our mission • Increase student member participation • Greater contribution to public education
