It then feeds through the tension rollers. 2. Plastic is fed through the feed rollers. Calendaring is a process used to manufacture thermoplastic sheets. It is most often seen in the production of plastic carrier bags. PVC and PE are used more commonly with this process. The thermoplastic is passed through large rollers and is pressed into thin sheets of uniform size plastic. 3. The gap/nip rollers squash the “dough-like” plastic to the correct thickness. 5. Up through the embossing/cooling rollers where the thermoplastic cools down.
