The following slides illustrate the substantial research contributions of Dr. Berk.  • The first slide shows what we knew about one family of kinases, known as mitogen activated protein kinases, in the 1980s.  • The second slide shows how much we have learned based in great part on the work of Dr. Berk. As a result of his research, scientists are now able to identify potential targets for therapeutic agents to treat a variety of cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular diseases, such as cancer.
