  3. wie eng und begrenzt dein Leben ist

  4. und die ganze Welt scheint dir fest umsponnen von einem grauen Netz

  5. indem du dich hilflos gefangen hast

  6. Ein Netz aus Gewohnheit, Gewalt und Gesetz

  7. ein Netz aus Grenzen von Staat zu Staat

  8. Grenzen aus Dummheit und Eitelkeit

  9. Grenzen des Geldes - begrenzte Zeit

  10. und die Grenzen der eigenen Fähigkeit

  11. ...und wenn du dich wieder mal wund gestossen an den Gitterstäben den kleinen und grossen

  12. und du weisst genau,

  13. du kommst nie mehr vom Flecke

  14. Du bleibst gefangen im engen Raum

  15. dann hockst du dich nieder in deiner Ecke und träumst den alten Traum:

  16. Da breitest du weit deine Arme aus

  17. und ein tiefer Atemzug

  18. Du schwingst dich empor über Strasse und Haus im traumhaften Vogelflug

  19. Du fliegst und fliegst und brauchst kein Ziel das Dasein selbst ist Glück

  20. Keine Grenze da unten bekümmert dich viel Du möchtest nie mehr zurück

  21. Es ist alles so einfach, du wunderst dich kaum und du weisst in dem Traum

  22. Es ist kein Traum!

  23. Und du fragst dich wie man es je vergisst warum man nicht glaubt daran,

  24. dass man immer so frei wie ein Vogel ist und in Wahrheit fliegen kann. -Michael Ende-
