  7. Grading Criteria Use a variety of line types, shapes, and colors. Use overlapping and the placement of objects to create the illusion of depth. Use 3-D coloring to show a light source. Do rough draft sketches that are used to generate ideas. Re-draw or trace your own work into a neatly composed and clear image. Use ideas and objects that help tell a unified story. Choose a subject that is a challenge for you and one that has a high degree of difficulty.
