  1. 5 Key Steps to Overcome Infidelity Infidelity Can Destroy a Relationship, But It Doesn’t Have to with the right tools! Many relationships meet a fork in the road due to a cheating partner. It is not easy to understand let alone to get over. However, it does eat at you from the inside and you can’t always handle it as easily as you might have thought. It affects your own mental health and makes even everyday activities seem hard to do just because you can’t stop thinking about your partner’s infidelity. You need to relieve yourself of the anxiety of how-s and whys to function properly. You need to make a decision about moving on from your relationship or restoring it. Step 1: Don’t Suppress Your Feelings The first step to relieve your mental pain is to let out all the bad feelings associated with the actions of your partner. If you are angry, let them know, if you are upset, cry your heart out, if you are feeling low, take a break. If you don’t let your feelings out, you will have a hard time recovering from them.
