  2. What is satire? • Satire is a work of art that shows human vice or folly in a way to make it ridiculous or laughable.

  5. What is satire? • Satire may be personal and directed at specific people or it can general, concerned with sections of society or with the human race as a whole.

  6. What is satire? • Satire can laugh us out of our folly and produce change. • If bitter in tone, it can shame us out of our folly. • It can make us uncomfortable and motivated to do better or be better.
