  2. WHY CERP MASTER RECREATION PLAN DEVELOPED • Required by the Corps Regulations for Corps Participation (ER 1105-2-100, Appendix VII) • May 2000 Design Agreement with the Corps & SFWMD • Potential Partners • Systemwide approach to ID, Eval & address potential CERP affects to existing recreation

  3. CERP MRP TEAM • Multi-agency • Interdisciplinary • Draws on a variety of experiences, expertise and local knowledge

  4. PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT • Public input will be received via public meetings, correspondence, telephone, email • The CERP MRP Team wants to know what’s out there and people’s opinions • The CERP MRP will work within its budget, schedule, environmental constraints, laws & regulations

  5. TYPICAL RECREATION MASTER PLAN OUTLINE • Guidance (Federal, State, local) • Generally includes; intro, project location, goals & objectives, analysis, public involvement, land use, summary & recommendations, • Living Document; supplements & updates • 1st draft of CERP MRP within 2 – 3 years
