LHCbThe Large Hadron Collider Beauty Experiment • The goal: Gain an understanding of why there exists an imbalance of matter and antimatter in the universe and search for new physics • The plan:Study CP violation and rare decays, which will lead to a deeper understanding of quark flavor physics 7/1/2008 B. My Project • I am responsible for filling the panels at Point 8 with information—safety information, incoming data, pictures, news, and other general information • My project could enable people to learn about the state of the LHCb experiment quickly and simply if it is done correctly 7/1/2008 B.   5. What I’ve Been Up To • I started out learning about the LHCb: its experimental setup and its purpose. 1. Read Technical Proposal from 1998 2. Visited the LHCb. 3. Read Technical Design Report from 2003 • I have now proceeded to learning about how to work with web pages and how to create one. • My next step is to start designing the event displays 7/1/2008 B.
