  4. Redemption Promised! • In Word: Genesis 3:15 • Protoevangelium/protoevangelion– The first gospel • Christ is the ultimate Seed of the Woman

  5. Redemption Promised! • In Pictures:Genesis 3:21 • God killed an animal and took the skin to clothe Adam and Eve • In types: • Joseph as a type of Christ. • The Judges as a type of Christ

  6. Redemption Accomplished! • Philippians 2:6-8 • His active obedience -Lived a perfect life here on earth -Lived a life of lack and want but remaining sinless 2 Corinthians 5:21 • His passive obedience -Something done on Him. -He was crucified

  8. Redemption Applied! • Titus 3:4-7 • The sinner is declared righteous • The first part of redemption applied is called Justification. • 1 Peter 1:16 • The justified sinner lives a separate life from the world

  9. Redemption Applied! • The second aspect of redemption applied is Sanctification • Revelation 21:1-5. • We have our glorified bodies and the marriage is consummated • The final aspect of redemption applied is Glorification

  10. For you and me! • How much do you know of this story? • Do you pick and choose what to read and what to believe? • Have you put your trust in Jesus? • Are you set apart from the world?

  11. For you and me! • Do you live in hope of the glory to come? • Are you carrying out His commission to spread the message of redemption?
